The Yamaha XS650 Club of Australia was formed in 1994 by enthusiasts of Yamaha’s first four-stroke motorcycle. We have members in all Australian States and Territories.

The XS650 Club of Australia brings together a group of like-minded people which makes owning and riding an XS650 that much more enjoyable, thus helping to preserve this classic machine. Our members have an appreciation for what must be the most bullet proof, easy to maintain, and fun to ride motorcycle ever made.

We have several club events each year as organised by State Representatives and also the occasional Show-and-Shine. Imagine a sunny day, the open road, and a group of XS650s filling the air with that unmistakable sound we love so much. Check out the Club Calendar for our next event.

Among our membership are pristine examples of every model, as well as choppers, flat-trackers, road-racers, bobbers, and customs. Some of our members are painters, mechanics, electricians, and machinists. Several have huge stocks of parts for sale or swap. Between us, we’ve done everything one can do to an XS650, be it concourse restoration or heavily modified.

Membership of the XS650 Club of Australia is open to anyone with an interest in Yamaha XS650 motorcycles (1970-1985). Club members receive a regular newsletter (packed with information on the XS650 including restoration, modifications, parts, club activities) and a Club t-shirt.

Our Club has a Committee of officeholders elected by members and holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in late October / early November each year. The location AGM rotates annually and is hosted by a member, usually in either NSW, Victoria or Queensland. The location for this year is advertised in our Club Calendar.

Members can also get access to the XS650 Club’s a closed Facebook group and we also have an Instagram feed.
